"The more a horse has been trained, the easier it can be handled. To start, a few in-hand exercises consist simply in getting the horse to calmly move forwards, stop and move backwards in front of its box, then in front of the trailer : first get the horse to climb half in the trailer, stop back out of the trailer and reward. Repeat this exercise serveral times!
